About the author.
Hannah Smith (she/her) lives in North America and is a lover of all things fantastical. When she isn’t writing you’ll find her at renaissance fairs, anime conventions, drawing, or playing video games. She has never fully gotten over her fairy phase that began when she was a child, but has expanded it to witches and werewolves as she’s gotten older. It is her dream to write and publish a fantasy novel and this is the year she’s planning on making that happen. For writing, art, and more, she hopes you’ll join her on the journey this year.

WIP Novel
Merrow is the focus of this year and has been Hannah’s longest project. It has changed greatly over the years and is almost ready to make a debut.

Years competing in NYC Midnight
Hannah’s favorite writing competition is the NYC Midnight Flash Fiction Writing Challenge. In 2020 one of her stories got second place in her group. In 2022 one of her stories received first place in her group. And in 2020, 2022, and 2024 she advanced to the third round, receiving honorable mentions in 2020 and 2024.
A lifetime
of writing
We are all writers. From the moment we can put pencil to paper and make words (even if they’re spelled wrong) we are writers. Hannah as pursued this passion since a young age, creating stories and writing them down so she can look back one day and think, wow, what was I thinking?
